This tool has been developed to help assess and manage the risks in remote Australian community water supplies. The tool was developed by Arup, on behalf of the National Health and Medical Research Council (with the assistance of the National Water Commission).

The web based Community Water Planner (CWP) is a joint initiative of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the National Water Commission (NWC).

The NHMRC would like to thank the NWC for providing the additional physical, chemical and radiological modules which allow generation of one comprehensive, integrated water safety plan.
